A festival day must savory
Cannot be cooked in a hurry
Soak the Bengal Gram and Rice
Their paste will be the dough for fries
Boil the Chana Dal and make a paste
Jaggery waters, Cardamom powder and fresh coconut will bring in the taste
Make round balls of the above mentioned stock
It is definitely hard work, but don’t baulk
Dip in the dough, fry till brown
The family simply loves it, wipe thy tired frown
Now get ready to accept the Kitchen-Queen crown
