In this series, I will write about South Indian Food – Typically Telugu food

#SouthieSaga Dosa or Pullattu

Your fridge hosts this eternal humble mix

For all those small hunger pangs, this is a sure fix

Soak Udad-Dal and Rice, overnight, in a ratio of your choice

Grind this to a coarse paste, after adding a pinch of fenugreek, salt and puffed rice

Spread it evenly on a hot iron pan, lightly coating with oil,

Turn and cook it till golden brown, worth your toil

Eat it plain with chopped onions, chillies or Achar

Uplift it with Potato Curry, Coconut Chutney or Sambar

Dosa – Ain’t a four lettered word

When Dosa is on the table, Mum’s the word
