In this series, I will write about South Indian Food – Typically Telugu food

Typical South Indian Breakfast item, this Idly

Some term it white melting globules, so heavenly

Teaming with spicy Gunpowder makes it deadly

Add Sambar, coconut chutney, can you say ‘No’ really?

Soak the Udad-Dal and Rice

Pound the two, to a thick paste, real nice

But if you want the mix in a trice

Grind the soaked Dal and add curds, the Rava or Flour of Rice

Steam some water in a wide pan

Oil the Idly mould and put it in  pan

Add scoops of batter as gently as you can

In fifteen minutes flat, to your plate from the pan
